The installers

  • Helm

Your Claude Code sessions in a real window.

    Helm-Setup.exe · 109.2 MB · Windows 10/11 x64 · v0.1.1 · 30 Oct 2026

Needs your own Claude Code install, signed in, and internet on first run. Setup steps

    Download Helm for Windows Source
    git clone …/helm
  • Quartz

A browser where pages, terminals and apps are all tabs.

    Quartz-Setup.exe · 131.9 MB · Windows 11 x64 · v0.1.1 · 30 Oct 2026

Claude tabs need Claude Code installed. Protected video (Netflix, Disney+, Prime Video and similar) won’t play in this build. Setup steps

    Download Quartz for Windows Source
    git clone …/quartz
  • Mantle

A shell layer for Windows 11.

    Mantle-Setup.exe · 139.6 MB · Windows 11 · v0.1.1 · 30 Oct 2026

Use it at your own risk. Mantle takes over parts of the Windows 11 shell (taskbar, Win key, Alt+Tab, notifications) and has been built and tested on one PC. Setup steps

    Download Mantle for Windows Source
    git clone …/mantle

All three have been built and tested on one machine. Built 1 Nov 2026 from each project’s latest GitHub release.

The installers aren’t code-signed yet, so Windows SmartScreen shows “Windows protected your PC” the first time you run one. That’s expected.

  1. Click More info.
  2. Check the app name is the file you downloaded, for example Quartz-Setup.exe. The publisher shows as “Unknown publisher”.
  3. Click Run anyway.

Your browser may also warn that the file “isn’t commonly downloaded”. Choose Keep. Only run an installer you downloaded from the links on this site or from the project’s GitHub Releases page.

Updates and uninstalling

Each update installs over the old copy.

  • Helm

Uninstall. Settings → Apps → Helm. Your settings and sessions in %APPDATA%\Helm stay.

  • Quartz

Uninstall. Settings → Apps → Installed apps → Quartz. To remove everything, also delete %APPDATA%\Quartz.

  • Mantle

Uninstall. Settings → Apps → Installed apps → Mantle. It puts Windows back and checks the taskbar first.

Build from source

Build what you run.

Every line is on GitHub, so you can build what you run. Each one runs from the folder you clone. Each repository’s README has the full build notes.

Helmgit, Node.js 22 or newer

git clone https://github.com/atlas-studio-software/helm
cd helm
npm install
npm start

Quartzgit, Node.js 22.12 or newer, below 27

git clone https://github.com/atlas-studio-software/quartz
cd quartz
npm ci
npm start

Mantlegit, Node.js 24, .NET Framework 4.x (ships with Windows)

git clone https://github.com/atlas-studio-software/mantle
cd mantle
npm install
npm run build:sidecar
npm test
npm run live

Mantle’s npm test opens three ordinary windows and changes nothing; npm run live is the real thing, with a 3-second warning. The copy button stops before npm run live, so going live is always your own step.
